Advisement/Registration/Financial Aid/Validation procedures for Integrated Math/Science Graduate Students
SPECIAL NOTE TO NEW STUDENTS:
Updating your information is essential. Make sure the University has your most current information including an email address you check frequently and a good phone number where you can be reached. Also, update any address/name changes.
1. Prior to each term you must schedule an appointment to see your academic advisor to get approval to register for courses. (on-line registration is available but you must still get advanced approval from your advisor to take specific courses)
2. After advisement, you will register for your selected course(s) either in person at the Registrar’s Office in the Walters Center, or on-line.

3. After registering for courses, (every term) you must contact Martha Polasek at the Center for Science and Mathematics Education to let her know what you have registered for so she can get your award information to the Financial Aid office for processing. You must also let her know immediately if you drop a class.
****This is not done automatically, you must contact her before every term*****
You may contact her:
Email: mopolasek@lake.ollusa.edu (This is the best way)
Phone: 434-6711 ext. (2108)
Fax: 433-0869 ATTN: Martha
In person: Metz 416
4. Once Financial Aid receives your award data from Martha, their office will enter your award information into the OLLU database system which is then updates your student account (this may take a day or two). Your balance due will be your fees (if applicable).

5. Validation is an action required by the Student Business Office http://www.ollusa.edu/s/346/ollu.aspx?pgid=1027 and must be done every term in person or via the web. *Remember that your award may not be in right away after you tell me what you are taking because other offices then have to manually enter your awards. Only one person does this in Financial Aid so it depends on their workload. Just keep checking your E Bills and REG statement to see if your FA awards
